Siren (2020)
TV series: Siren takes us inside Bristol Cove - a coastal town known for its legend of once being home to mermaids. When the arrival of a mysterious girl proves this folklore all too true, the battle between man and sea takes a very vicious turn as these predatory beings return to reclaim their right to the ocean.
Sisse Marie plays "Yura", the leader of an Arctic tribe of mermaids who reluctantly choose to help the humans in their battle. The TV series Siren was filmed in Vancouver, Canada.
Siren was a top performer for the Freeform network. It ranked first in terms of total audience size.
The award winning TV show has been well-received by critics. On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, the series has an approval rating of 94%.
The series' third season premiered on April 2, 2020 and can be streamed on Hulu or on Freeform with cable TV. The popular TV series can also be downloaded on iTunes and Amazon.
The House Next Door (2021)
Feature film: When best selling author Carl Black moves his family back to his childhood home, he must team up with oddball neighbors to do battle with a pimp, who may or may not be an actual vampire.
Sisse Marie stars opposite Mike Epps and Katt Williams, with Danny Trejo and Snoop Dogg.
The horror-comedy is a sequel to the box office success "Meet The Blacks" and is directed by the innovative filmmaker Deon Taylor.
In theaters June 11th, 2021.
The Last Play (2021)
Feature film (in post-production): A well-known author and his wife with a troubled past are contacted by a young filmmaker who wants to explore why they live in solitude.
Sisse Marie plays the lead role as the author Soren's wife Johanna. There is a dark story between the two which is slowly revealed as the film progresses.
The film is mainly shot in Joshua Tree, California over the course of 6 months.
The release is set for 2021 and the film is currently in post-production.
Wonderland Recoil (2021)
Feature film (in post-production): This epic, psychedelic, sci-fi fantasy is filmed in Iceland and California. Sisse Marie plays the lead as Ecila. Wonderland Recoil is loosely based on Lewis Carroll's "Alice in Wonderland".
It explores the depths of the human mind in a visual rollercoaster as we follow Alice into a drug infused rabbit hole where everything is turned inside out. Here she transforms into another version of herself, Ecila, where she is forced to face her demons in a bizarre and confusing Wonderland.
The feature film is directed and written by Shaun Rana and is currently in post-production and is set to be released in 2021.
Let's Make It (2018)
Feature film: The romantic drama was shot in Altanta. This is the first feature film with Sisse Marie in the leading role.
The film is an adapted stage play from the Pinch ‘n’ Out Theatre in Atlanta. The movie is filmed by the cinematographer Mark Simon who has worked on blockbuster movies like Demolition Man and The Breakfast Club.
